Most people arrive at Saba via St. Martin (Sint. Maarten). From there you have 3 options…
The Edge ferry comes to Saba 3 times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Simpson Bay Resort Marina at 9am and arriving on Saba around 10:30am. It later returns the same day at 3:30pm so it’s a great option for day trips to Saba. We regularly have divers arrive on the Edge, complete 2 dives with us, then return home the same day.
Passengers may take one carry-on and one small piece of luggage. They may be able to accomodate excess baggage but ask that you contact them in advance first.
The Dawn II also comes to Saba 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It departs St. Maarten at 4:30pm and arrives on Saba around 6pm. It returns to St. Maarten the next morning, departing Saba at 7am.
Passengers are allowed one carry-on and two pieces of luggage included with the ticket. Extra luggage is $10 per piece when pre-purchased at the same time as your ticket. Extra luggage checked-in at the dock is subject to additional charges.
Winair flights come to Saba 4 times a day, typically arriving at 8:35am, 9:45am, 3:15pm and 5:05pm (although these flight times do vary). The flight is low altitude and the cabin is not pressurised, meaning it is also suitable for diving day trips. If you arrive on Saba at 8:35am or 9:45am you can join us for 2 dives and return to St. Martin on the last flight out at 5:15pm.
Winair have a free checked baggage allowance of 23kgs per person plus 1 carry-on up to 3kgs. The maximum baggage allowed is 64kgs per person. All baggage over the free allowance will be charged at the appropriate excess baggage rate (please check their website for details).
